Novadem took part in the successful demonstration firings as part of the LYNKEUS project, which took place in Cyprus on 29 September 2022.

The LynkEUs project brings together 11 main players, including European research centres and industrial companies, with the common aim of developing a Beyond Line-of-Sight (BLOS) firing capability for an anti-tank missile. This joint project, worth €6.33 million under the European Defence Industrial Development Programme (EDIDP), had the particular support of Belgium, Cyprus and France.

The consortium, led by MBDA, demonstrated the effectiveness of the TAVD of the vehicle-mounted MMP missile on a target masked from the shooter and observed using an NX70 micro-UAV. This firing capability has the following effects.

  • Increase the protection of combat units by reducing their exposure.
  • Increased firing accuracy through a more collaborative system.
  • Faster reaction and decision-making.
  • Adapt more easily to complex theatres of operation.

LYNKEUS, which has been a great success, will continue with the MARSEUS project from the European Defence Fund (EDF), with European funding of €25 million. This will make it possible to put in place appropriate training resources so that it can be integrated into a Battlefield Management System and adapted to longer-range missiles.
