In late September 2025, the final demonstration of the European project MarsEUs (Modular Architecture Solution for EU States) was successfully conducted at the Roi Albert military camp in Marche-en-Famenne, Belgium. Led by MBDA and backed by €25 million in EU funding, the project brings together 23 partners from 11 countries. NOVADEM is participating alongside Arquus, Delair and Atos for France, as well as Belgian, Cypriot and Swedish industry partners.
The demonstration showcased a full tactical scenario involving vehicles, infantry, drones and munitions working together to engage a target not visible from the firing position. The so-called BLOS (Beyond Line Of Sight) capability. The NX160, equipped with the next-generation NCAM160 turret featuring EO x100 zoom, onboard artificial intelligence and a 4 km laser rangefinder, played a central role. The NX70 provided real-time target designation, enabling the simulated engagement of MBDA’s AKERON MP and AKERON LP missiles against targets beyond direct line of sight.

This milestone confirms the NX70’s role as an advanced designation sensor within European collaborative combat architectures. The consortium is now preparing for the next phase with the AktarEUs project (2025–2028), which aims to extend these BLOS capabilities to additional land and naval platforms.
